The HomeStead at GentleBrook is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Director to lead engaging and meaningful recreational programs for residents at our beautiful, brand new Assisted Living + Memory Care. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or long-term care, with a strong background in event planning, recreational therapy, and dementia or Alzheimer’s care. This role involves designing and implementing activities that promote socialization, cognitive engagement, and overall well-being for residents with diverse needs, including memory care and disabilities.

Activity Director Responsibilities

Develop, organize, and oversee a variety of recreational activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities, including memory care and dementia-specific programs.
Coordinate special events, outings, and therapeutic activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed during activities to ensure comfort and participation.
Manage activity schedules efficiently to ensure a balanced calendar of events that meet individual needs and preferences.
Collaborate with caregiving staff to integrate activity plans with overall care goals and address specific aging issues counseling.
Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress in activities.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and community partners to promote program participation and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

Activity Director Qualifications
