
Sales Engineer – Press Brake/Punch Tooling
Location: Farmington, CT (Relocation Assistance is provided)
Requirements: Solid experience with Press Brake and/or Punch machines in a sheet metal fabrication environment.
The Sales Engineer – Press Brake/Punch Tooling supports sales growth across North American markets by serving as the technical expert in press brake tooling. This role works closely with customers and the field sales team during machine sales projects and post-sale support, including travel to customer sites to understand applications and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the technical expert in press brake or punch tooling and applications
Support field sales and service teams with tooling expertise
Consult with customers to define tooling requirements and solutions
Collaborate with design engineers to develop custom tooling solutions
Develop product information and sales support materials
Help establish and improve standard tooling sales processes
Maintain accurate sales pipeline data and support sales goal achievement
Experience & Skills
Strong technical sales background with extensive experience in sheet metal fabrication and press brake/punch technology
Deep understanding of press brake or punch applications and tool design
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD files, and technical specifications
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
Proficiency with SolidWorks, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office preferred
Education
Minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience required
Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
