Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Corporate Controller to lead the corporate accounting function across the Operating Company, development projects, and real estate private equity investment vehicles. This role will oversee financial reporting, audit and tax management, treasury operations, and accounting infrastructure supporting a vertically integrated real estate platform focused on multifamily development, property management, and private equity investments. The Corporate Controller will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will play a critical role in building scalable accounting processes, strengthening controls, and supporting strategic decision-making for senior leadership and investors. Key Responsibilities Oversee accurate and timely monthly and quarterly financial close and reporting for management, executive leadership, and external investors Lead external audit, tax, and regulatory relationships, ensuring compliance with GAAP and applicable laws and regulations Partner with FP&A to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the Operating Company and investment vehicles Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing corporate accounting team Oversee treasury operations and centralized expense management (including Concur) across multiple banking relationships Manage development accounting, including construction draws and project-level financial oversight Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing Oversee accounting and reporting for real estate private equity investment vehicles, including investor reporting requirements Drive process automation and scalable systems to improve reporting efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enable real-time insights Lead accounting system implementations and technology conversions, ensuring projects are delivered accurately, on time, and within budget Effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting required CPA certification required 7–10+ years of progressive experience, including a combination of public accounting, real estate development, and private equity Proven leadership experience with the ability to build, mentor, and retain high-performing teams Strong technical expertise in consolidations, equity method accounting, development accounting, fund accounting, treasury management, and investor reporting Experience leading business transformations across people, processes, and technology Prior exposure to acquisitions and complex ownership structures Proficiency with accounting and reporting technologies including Excel, PowerPoint, Yardi or MRI, and treasury and investor reporting platforms Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
