Position Summary: Renewal Underwriter - Property & Casualty Binding In this Inside Broker role, you’ll focus on driving profitable renewal business while delivering exceptional service to your retail agency partners. You’ll cultivate strong carrier relationships, evaluate risk submissions, and ensure clients have access to competitive and comprehensive P&C Binding solutions. This position supports senior brokers while managing your own portfolio of renewal accounts with low to medium complexity.
What You’ll Do
Manage and grow a renewal book of business in Property & Casualty Binding.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Retail Agents and Carrier Underwriters.
Ensure access to competitive pricing and market options by nurturing Specialty Carrier partnerships.
Review and pre‑qualify risk submissions, prioritizing high‑probability renewal opportunities aligned with carrier guidelines.
Analyze coverage needs, forms, limits, and premium options to place business with the most suitable carriers.
Identify additional coverage opportunities to expand account offerings.
Monitor market dynamics, underwriting trends, and pricing changes to guide placement decisions.
Educate Retail Agents on the breadth of RPS products and solutions as their business needs evolve.
Participate in occasional travel to visit carrier partners and retail agencies.

Requirements About You
Bachelor’s degree plus 3+ years of related experience.
Active P&C license (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Previous insurance or underwriting experience preferred.

Compensation And Benefits We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
