Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations on high-end residential projects. This role is responsible for translating design intent into built reality through disciplined execution, strong trade leadership, and an unwavering commitment to quality and safety.
The ideal candidate is a steady, detail-oriented field leader who runs clean, organized job sites, communicates clearly, and holds themselves—and others—to high professional standards. You understand that excellence is not achieved at punch list, but built into every phase of the project.
Core Responsibilities
Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through completion
Plan and manage project sequencing, schedules, and daily work plans
Direct and coordinate subcontractors and trades to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification
Oversee framing, structural work, and critical path activities with a deep understanding of residential construction methods
Enforce quality control standards at every phase of construction
Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
Enforce job-site safety protocols and company policies without exception
Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations
Partner closely with Project Managers, vendors, inspectors, and clients to maintain alignment
Maintain accurate daily logs, site photos, schedules, punch lists, and documentation in Procore
Represent Chris Gate Construction professionally with clients, trades, and partners at all times
What Success Looks Like
Projects move forward with clarity, structure, and minimal rework
Job sites are orderly, safe, and reflect a high standard of professionalism
Subcontractors are aligned, accountable, and productive
Quality issues are identified and resolved early - not deferred
Management software is used consistently and accurately as the source of truth
Clients and internal teams trust your judgment, communication, and leadership
Qualifications
10+ years of experience as a Superintendent on high-end residential projects
Strong technical knowledge of framing, sequencing, and residential construction best practices
Proven experience using Procore for daily logs, photos, schedules, RFIs, and coordination
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple trades and overlapping schedules
High attention to detail with a proactive quality mindset
Clear, professional communication and confident field leadership
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
