Product Marketing Manager . The ideal candidate will help to define how Summus is understood in the market and to equip our teams with messaging and assets that truly work.
This role blends strategy and execution. You will shape positioning and narrative, and you will also build real, high-quality assets used in live sales and growth motions. Youll work closely with Sales, Product, and Marketing to test, learn and iterate quickly. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes ownership, writes exceptionally well, and cares deeply about audience understanding and clarity. This is a fully remote position based on the West Coast (U.S. Pacific Time Zone).
In this role you will own
Deep Messaging & Positioning: Develop clear, audience-centric messaging across key use cases and stages of the buyer journey
Sales Enablement: Create pitch decks, one-pagers, talk tracks, and proof points that Sales trusts and uses
Deal Iteration: Partner closely with Sales to test assets in real conversations and improve them based on feedback
Outreach Messaging: Collaborate with SDRs and Growth teams to develop and validate outbound and partner messaging
Market Insight: Translate clinical and product complexity into simple, credible narratives grounded in real customer needs
Responsibilities
An excellent writer who can communicate complex ideas with clarity and precision
Deeply audience-centric, with strong instincts for what different buyers need to hear and when
Highly collaborative and comfortable working closely with Sales, Product, and Marketing
Bias toward action, iteration, and learning through execution
Ideally experienced in healthcare, benefits, or another high-trust industry, or excited to build that depth quickly
Comfortable getting into the weeds of complex, judgment-driven problems
Fluent in both strategy and execution, you define the story and build the assets
AI-proficient or eager to use modern tools to move faster and work smarter

Sales uses your materials confidently and consistently
Messaging is clear, consistent, and audience-appropriate across channels
Assets improve deal clarity and differentiation
Work ships quickly, gets tested, and improves over time
Cross-functional partners trust you as a thoughtful, collaborative PMM
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism, Life Sciences, or a related field required; advanced degree a plus
3+ years of professional experience in Product Marketing, Go-To-Market, Sales Enablement, or a related role
Proven experience owning messaging and positioning for complex products or services across the buyer journey
Demonstrated ability to create and iterate sales enablement assets, including pitch decks, one-pagers, talk tracks, and proof points used in active deals
Strong experience partnering closely with Sales, including incorporating real-time deal feedback into messaging and materials
Experience collaborating with SDR, Growth, Product, and Marketing teams on outbound, partner, and lifecycle messaging
Working knowledge of Salesforce, including opportunity stages, deal insights, and win/loss data
Experience with marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot or Marketo
Familiarity with sales enablement tools (e.g., Highspot, Seismic, Guru)
Proficiency with standard productivity and collaboration tools (Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office)
Experience using modern AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to accelerate messaging, content creation, and research
