Overview
AMT is seeking a Patient Account Billing Specialist to provide daily billing and collections support for transportation charges in a fast-paced healthcare transportation environment. You will deliver top-notch customer service to patients with questions about a bill and to various agencies.
What You'll Do
Review patient care reports thoroughly
Verify patient information
Prepare patient billing by allocating charges to appropriate sources; assign appropriate billing codes
Accurately choose correct profit center for each ticket billed
Utilize available resources to help provide correct insurance and/or patient information
Input tickets in a careful and timely manner ensuring correct information on all screens
Input a minimum of 30 tickets on billing days
Make and receive patient phone calls
Screen patients for financial assistance
Review and work assigned workflow schedules in Zoll RescueNet
Accurately and completely document all conversations with patients, third party payers, and others in ticket notes
Receptionist duties as required
