Overview
Knight Material Technologies (KMT) designs, manufactures, installs and services custom acid-resistant linings and tower packing media used in corrosive processes for the chemical, environmental, and mining industries worldwide. We are currently seeking a full-time Technical Sales Representative for the Louisiana area. The Technical Sales Representative will generate bookings and sales of all KMT projects and services in this region.

Responsibilities
Aggressively pursues and follows up on leads from numerous sources, including but not limited to, trade shows, conferences, trade associations and ZoomInfo / HubSpot / website / Salesforce
Develops relationships through phone, email, social media and professional networking
Conducts effective sales presentations and face-to-face meetings
Prospects revenue opportunities, canvassing and in-person to build a pipeline to reach quota
Recommends solutions to meet the client's needs
Closes Sales
Increases Team and regional sales volume and profitability (gross margin)
Collaborates with KMT Engineering, KMT Project Management and KMT Estimating teams to develop proposals for large service projects
Enters Opportunities and generate Quotations via Salesforce CRM
Utilizes Salesforce to record in-person sales calls, contacts, leads and customer feedback
Locate prospects for engineered products such as FLEXERAMIC® Structured Packing and fluoropolymer lined vessels
Provides market insights to support marketing development
Monitors competitive activity in region
Anticipates customers’ current and future needs with new products, application or service suggestions
Performs additional duties as assigned
Requirements
Within the corrosion protection industry, 3-5 years in technical sales or business development
Exceptional written, verbal, time management, phone and presentation skills
Engineered product sales aptitude
Experience in the chemical processing industry
The ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly
A metric-oriented, competitive attitude
Passion to solve customers’ corrosion challenges
Preferred Skills And Experience
Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce CRM
Experience in the Mining Industry and Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers is useful
A degree in an engineering discipline, material science or chemistry would be a plus
Experience with Salesforce CRM would be advantageous
Multi-lingual ability would be an advantage
Experience with brick/mortar/membrane linings, fluoropolymer lined steel or dual laminate applications.
