Project Overview
We are supporting our client on a large-scale data center campus conversion in Pecos, TX, consisting of four existing buildings being fully gutted and converted into data halls, plus a small office building undergoing rehabilitation as part of the broader campus.
All interiors are being demolished down to structural shells and rebuilt to modern data center standards. The project is executing in phased turnovers, with all buildings delivering between July 2026 and January 2027.
Due to the West Texas location, this engagement requires professionals who are comfortable with extended onsite assignments up to 3 weeks at a time and can operate effectively in a tight-knit, high-accountability field environment. Staffing is ramping aggressively, with a target of ~35 onsite personnel within the next two months.

Current onsite leadership includes:
Senior Safety Manager
Senior Project Manager
Rotating support from Virginia/D.C. FT leadership operates on a
3-weeks onsite / 1-week off,
so the same would be expected of this resource.
Work Schedule & Logistics Shift Model:
12-hour shifts
(3 days on/4 days off, 4 days on/3 days off)
Day vs Night:
Dedicated to one shift, either day or night.
Day Shift: High activity, trade coordination, primary execution
Night Shift: Campus prep, infrastructure, lighting, QC, continuity
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily whitespace build-out activities across multiple buildings.
Supervise
30–40 trades personnel , ensuring work aligns with redesign plans and project sequencing.
Maintain tight coordination between day and night shifts to ensure continuity of operations.
Identify constructability, sequencing, or quality issues early and escalate to senior leadership.
Enforce site safety standards and PPE compliance.
Serve as a primary communication conduit between field crews and project leadership.
Run daily activities with minimal oversight.
Make real-time decisions to keep work moving safely and efficiently.
Adapt to fast-changing site conditions and aggressive schedules.
Maintain strong morale and accountability across crews.
Requirements
3+ years of experience as a Superintendent
Data Center Construction background (preferred)
Airports, Industrial, Manufacturing, Hospitals, or Electrical Construction also acceptable
Experience with
MEP-heavy environments
Certifications:
OSHA 30
preferred; OSHA 10 acceptable
PPE Required
Safety vest
