Position Overview

The

Project Designer

at Wilmington Woodworking is responsible for driving cabinetry sales while guiding projects through the design phase and into production. This role combines client-facing sales, custom cabinetry design, and project coordination, with a strong emphasis on communication, accuracy, and customer experience. The Project Designer works with company-provided leads, builds relationships with homeowners and trade partners, develops cabinetry designs and proposals, and serves as the primary point of contact for clients from initial inquiry through the start of production. Key Responsibilities

Sales & Client Relations Build and maintain strong relationships with homeowners, builders, architects, and interior designers Educate clients on cabinetry options, materials, and finishes Conduct site visits and take accurate field measurements Guide clients through selections and design decisions Provide professional communication and a high level of customer service Design, Quoting & Project Coordination Create cabinetry layouts and drawings using Cabinet Vision Prepare accurate quotes, drawings, and specifications Present designs and pricing, incorporating client feedback Coordinate internally with design, production, and installation teams Track projects from signed sale through design completion and production handoff Communicate schedules and resolve customer questions promptly Sales Performance & Business Support Meet quarterly and annual sales objectives Respond to inbound inquiries and follow up on active leads Maintain organized records of selections, samples, and project details Stay informed on market trends and cabinetry design preferences Qualifications

3–5+ years of experience in sales, cabinetry, kitchen/bath design, or a related field Understanding of cabinetry construction, materials, and layout principles Ability to read architectural drawings and translate them into designs Proficiency with CAD software (Cabinet Vision preferred; training available) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Professional communicator with a customer-focused mindset Comfortable with site visits and light physical activity (up to 25 lbs) Proficient with Microsoft Office or Google Suite Work Environment & Schedule

Full-time, on-site position based in Savannah, GA Primarily office-based with regular shop-floor collaboration Occasional job-site visits required Flexible scheduling with occasional overtime as needed Compensation & Benefits
