Job Summary Prepares sales and use tax filings while serving as a resource to internal stakeholders and contributing to process improvements and special projects across the Tax function.

Job Profile Summary Prepares and supports multi‑jurisdictional sales and use tax compliance by researching, analyzing, and filing accurate and timely returns while serving as a trusted technical resource to internal stakeholders. This role applies state and local tax laws to ensure compliance, supports audits and tax notices, and contributes to tax‑related projects, system enhancements, and process improvements. The position also assists with training and mentoring team members and collaborates across the organization to improve efficiency and strengthen tax compliance practices.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Perform research, preparation, analysis, review, and documentation related to monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax filings, returns, and related responsibilities

Analyze and apply state, and local sales and use tax laws, regulations, and rulings to ensure accurate compliance

Provide technical guidance regarding tax regulations, procedures, and compliance requirements to internal stakeholders and business partners

Support audits, notices, and information requests

Participate in tax‑related projects and initiatives

Assist with training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing for less‑experienced team members

Utilize and support tax compliance systems, ERP platforms, and related tools; assist with testing, enhancements, and process improvements as needed

Education Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant tax experience

Work Experience

Experience in sales and use tax compliance

Experience researching, analyzing, reconciling, and preparing sales and use tax data, returns, reports, and supporting schedules

Experience interpreting tax statutes, regulations, contracts, accounting records, and technical publications

Experience working with tax compliance software, ERP systems, and standard business applications

Experience interacting with internal business partners and as needed, external parties such as taxing authorities or advisors

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.

Solid understanding of sales and use tax policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

Ability to communicate technical tax concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Expected Salary Range $86,000.00 - $128,000.00
