The Accounting Specialist is primarily responsible for general revenue accounting duties related to the recording of the company’s oil & natural gas production each month, as well as managing financial records and preparing reports for upper management. Compensation and Benefits

Processing and reviewing accounts payable invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies Assisting in the preparation of 1099 reporting and filing with Federal and State agencies Management and reconciliation of company expense reporting Reconciliation of general ledger account balances Preparation of financial statements Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses Assisting in the preparation of budgets for review by management Maintenance and reconciliation of fixed assets schedules Ensures billings and receivables are correctly processed in a timely manner Assists Finance & Accounting Team with analysis of data and reports Other duties as assigned by the Finance & Accounting Team Qualifications
BS or BA degree in accounting (CPA a plus) 2-4 years of oil & gas/real estate accounting experience is highly preferred Understanding of GAAP accounting and financial principles Understanding of tax concepts and reporting requirements Ability to apply accounting principles to the maintenance of all Accounts and Finance records Proficient in using accounting software Ability to work independently and with a team Strong analytical skills Attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to multi-task Self-motivated, hands-on, and desire and ability to learn and grow Highly skilled and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel High level of ethics & integrity, maintaining a high degree of confidentiality Wright Hyundai is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
