Outside Sales Manager – Multifamily New Construction Phoenix, AZ | Outside Sales | Base + Commission I’m partnering with a well-established national subcontractor in the multifamily new construction space to add an experienced Outside Sales professional to support and grow the Phoenix market. This is a true hunter role focused on developing new multifamily general contractor relationships and building a personal book of business across apartment communities, high-rise, student housing, senior living, and build-to-rent projects throughout the region. You’ll start with a small number of existing accounts to gain traction, but the core focus is new business development Strong estimating and operations support so you can stay focused on selling Six-figure earning potential with no artificial caps High autonomy and control over your territory Clear path from base + commission to full commission with significantly increased upside What You’ll Be Doing
Build, maintain, and expand relationships with multifamily general contractors Prospect, develop, and win new GC accounts within the Phoenix market Manage accounts from initial bid through award and project completion Submit bids using take-offs prepared by internal estimating teams Control pricing, protect margins, and negotiate buyouts with Project Managers Review plans and drawings to support accurate pricing and negotiations Track bids, follow-ups, and pipeline activity within CRM Partner closely with operations to ensure smooth project execution Follow a disciplined, repeatable daily sales process Travel & Role Structure
Outside sales role with heavy customer interaction Travel required Tuesday–Thursday every other week to visit customers and active projects Strong organization, time management, and follow-up are critical to success What They’re Looking For
2+ years of multifamily new construction sales experience in flooring or other trades Direct experience negotiating buyouts with GC Project Managers Proven ability to open new accounts and grow business Strong negotiation skills with an emphasis on margin protection Experience managing bids, scopes, contracts, and change orders Ability to balance administrative work with travel and field time Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Years 1–2: Base salary + commission After Year 2: Full commission structure tied directly to performance Top performers earn high six-figure incomes Benefits include:
