
A well-established and growing ingredients supplier is seeking a Sales Account Manager to manage and expand customer relationships across the West Coast U.S. ingredients market. This role is ideal for a commercially driven professional with proven experience selling ingredients into food, beverage, nutraceutical, and dietary supplement customers.
You will play a key role in driving territory growth, developing strategic customer partnerships, and delivering ingredient solutions that support customer innovation and commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
Lead sales efforts across a defined West Coast territory for functional, specialty, and commodity ingredients
Develop and execute territory growth strategies focused on new business and account expansion
Build and maintain strong relationships with brands, contract manufacturers, and distributors
Identify new business opportunities while expanding ingredient penetration within existing accounts
Provide ingredient expertise, market insight, and consultative solutions to customers
Represent the business at key customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows
Collaborate closely with internal teams to support customer success and revenue growth
Track sales activity, customer interactions, and pipeline progress in CRM systems
Monitor competitor activity and broader ingredients market trends
Requirements
3-5+ years of B2B sales experience within the ingredients, nutraceutical, or dietary supplement industry
Strong background selling ingredients into food, beverage, nutraceutical, or supplement markets
Proven new business development skills with a consultative, solution-oriented sales approach
Ability to manage and grow a multi-state territory independently
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced ingredients environment
Experience using CRM platforms (Salesforce or similar)
Willingness to travel regularly within the territory
