Urbana - Counter Sales/Warehouse

Connor Co., a company rich in history, currently has an available Counter Sales position in Urbana, IL. We are looking for a career-minded person for a long-term career with a great company. Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing is preferred.
Candidates Must Be
Available from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday
Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
Principal Accountabilities
Enter sales orders into the Eclipse system and pick customer order tickets.
Merchandise and stock products on displays and in self-service areas.
Select the correct products or assist customers in making product selections.
Emphasize product features based on customers' needs and technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations.
Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, and credit terms.
Efficient and effective loading and unloading of trucks.
Inspect materials according to instructions and report damaged goods.
Process inbound materials to the warehouse; compare quantities shown on packing slip or manifests with actual items received.
Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
Ensure materials are placed in the designated areas within the warehouse.
Stack skids or pallets in designated areas; clean up and dispose of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping and place in proper containers or designated areas.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping racks, shelves, pallet area, workstations, and counter area neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
General housekeeping: sweeping, mopping, dusting, empty trash.
Perform other duties as requested.
Minimum Education/Experience Required High School Diploma required, or its equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required
Critical thinker - using logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions.
Mathematical reasoning - ability to choose the suitable method or formulas to solve a problem.
Ability to learn Eclipse software.
Must be very detail-oriented and focused for accuracy.
Ability to perform assignments with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines.
Must have strong interpersonal communication skills.
Must maintain a patient and professional attitude while managing a busy workload.
Strong Organizational Skills Required
Must be able to determine and prioritize workload.
Ability to read directions and use a street map to plot delivery route.
