Position Overview Sales Account Manager – Existing Installation (EI)
Your Main Responsibilities As an EI Sales Account Manager, cultivate customer relationships, drive sales for maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, and retain clients. Act as liaison between customers and Schindler to achieve sales targets and ensure satisfaction.
Essential Functions
Customer Account Management:
Build favorable client relationships within a sales territory, secure and renew service agreements, handle inquiries, and generate revenue. Manage accounts receivable for timely payments.
Communication:
Effectively communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to achieve sales objectives and maintain satisfaction.
Collaboration:
Daily partner with Field Superintendents and technicians to drive lead generation and deliver excellent customer experience from initiation through delivery.
Sales & Opportunity Identification:
Identify and pursue sales opportunities, qualify needs, secure profitable solutions, and introduce new technology and services.
Negotiation & Strategy:
Negotiate favorable contract terms, develop and implement sales strategies aligned with product strategies and market conditions with minimal supervision.
Documentation & Compliance:
Prepare estimates, communicate proposals, maintain accurate records, and comply with policies and procedures.
What You Bring
Education:
Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of B2B sales experience in the elevator or related industry.
Presentation & Office Proficiency:
Effective presentation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Communication & Closing Skills:
Strong communication, negotiation, objection handling, and closing skills with a proven sales track record.
Customer Relationship:
Ability to empathize, listen, and connect with people to form outstanding relationships.
Time Management & Problem Solving:
Excellent time management, organizational skills, and problem‑solving abilities.
Mindset:
Motivated, resilient, and customer‑focused mindset aligned with Schindler’s values.
Technical & IT:
Experience with SAP and a results‑driven mindset to thrive in a competitive sales environment.
Field & Travel Flexibility:
Demonstrated ability to handle a mix of office and fieldwork with flexibility for travel and managing customer interactions.
Functional/Technical Expertise
Customer Account Management: Proficient at building and managing client relationships with revenue focus.
Negotiation & Strategy: Experienced in negotiating terms and developing strategies aligning with customer needs and compliance.
Sales & Closing Skills: Proficient in closing deals, qualifying needs, and introducing services and technology.
Communication: Clear communication with customers and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and achievement of objectives.
Leadership: Guidance and support for junior managers and representatives with collaboration on quality improvement processes.
