Responsibilities
Lead AWS Infrastructure\'s community engagement strategy across the Western United States, building relationships with local stakeholders and organizations to create positive impact while supporting AWS\'s regional growth.
As the Community Affairs Manager for AWS Infrastructure in the Western US, develop and implement community engagement strategies that support AWS\'s infrastructure in the region. Serve as AWS\'s representative to local communities, building relationships with key stakeholders and organizations to understand their needs and collaborate on impactful initiatives.
The ideal candidate brings experience working within corporate structures and community affairs. Demonstrate the ability to write and speak effectively for audiences of varying sizes, think strategically while maintaining attention to detail, and work effectively with cross-functional teams. Be comfortable having difficult conversations with community members while achieving productive outcomes, and know when to escalate matters to leadership.
This role requires travel (approximately 25% of time) throughout the region, with a base location in Phoenix, Arizona.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications
5+ years of professional or military experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
Experience working with multiple groups of stakeholders
Track record of successfully navigating complex cultural and political environments while representing a global organization.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
