POSITION OVERVIEW The Account Manager maintains and expands relationships with assigned account base customers, with intentions to maximize sales/profit for every account and most importantly to expand CR market penetration within the assigned area.

The Account Manager represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned customers, while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring assigned customers’ needs and expectations are met by the company.

This position will build and sustain productive relationships and partnerships with current customers and prospects to grow sales and expand CR penetration with Designers, Architects and Builders’ segments.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.

Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.

Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.

Leads a joint company account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one- and three-year period.

Assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.

Develops a sales action plan to service accounts with high growth potential and to collect strategic “intel.”

Participates actively with local professional organizations linked with CR’s tactics and strategies.

Introduces and implements CR products in showrooms and K & B accounts to create demand within the market; expands Pompeii brand penetration by assigning more displays to qualified customers/locations.

Coordinates solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while involving all necessary company personnel.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES

Meets assigned expectations for profitability.

Achieves customer objectives defined by company management.

Completes customer account plans that meet company standards.

Coordinates company executive involvement with customer management.

Works with Customer Service Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.

Meets quarterly target expectations for the CR-Display program once posted.

Visits every customer and displays at least once per month; reports visits via email to Director of Sales.

Strategizes, organizes assigned territory/region and plans sales calls weekly.

Approaches designers, architects and builders once fabricator leads are found during weekly visits.

Promotes and executes product knowledge (PKs) at customer locations and invites customers to visit one of CR’s branches.

Participates in branch events to increase sales.

REQUIREMENTS / EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree or proven track record of at least 10 years in sales and marketing is required.

Prefer knowledge and experience in the building material industry, in some capacity.

Has the ability to develop a comprehensive understanding of CR’s competitors and assist in developing a plan to beat them.

Must be detail-oriented and highly organized with a hunter mentality in developing and executing strategic plans.

Must discover, create, and develop new opportunities.

Requires excellent verbal communication and writing skills, and a desire, ability, competitiveness to succeed.

Minimum 50% travel on a regional basis to cover territory.
