Our client is a major American steel producer and metal recycler known for using electric arc furnace (EAF) and circular manufacturing to make a wide range of steel products with lower emissions from recycled scrap. It’s one of the largest domestic steelmakers in the U.S., diversified into steel fabrication, recycling, and aluminum, and noted for strong operational efficiency and financial performance.

Salary:

$90,000 base salary (negotiable based on experience), with estimated all-in compensation ranging from $145,000 to $170,000 annually. Includes Production Bonuses, ROA Bonus, Conversion Bonus, Profit Sharing, and Company-wide Stock Awards. Eligible for commission: $0.15 per ton.

Job Summary The Regional Sales Representative is responsible for managing, cultivating, and expanding customer relationships and sales within the Southwestern U.S. and Mexico. This customer-facing role aligns commercial strategy with operational capabilities, drives volume and margin growth, and develops long-term partnerships across industrial, oil, and gas accounts.

Job Responsibilities

Perform all sales duties safely and professionally.

Execute day-to-day commercial activities, including pricing, forecasting, technical/quality support, sustainability topics, and contract negotiations.

Develop and support business growth strategies through pricing, RFQs, and market initiatives.

Monitor competitive activity and provide actionable feedback to Sales Leadership.

Build, develop, and maintain trusted relationships with customer teams in the U.S. and Mexico, including OEM-directed and Tiered supply partners (Spanish language skills beneficial).

Maintain transparent and collaborative relationships with Inside Sales and Operations teams to optimize communication and decision-making.

Work cross-functionally to meet customer needs and ensure satisfaction.

Contribute to company profitability and demonstrate pride in our client’s products, culture, and goals.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of steel sales experience.

Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

High-energy, team-oriented, and relationship-driven.

Ability to travel 50% of the time, including consecutive overnights; international travel may be required.

Proficient in basic computer skills; advanced Excel skills preferred.

Ability to manage time, travel, and personal workflow independently.

Fiduciary responsibility for managing and reporting expenses, entertainment, and travel.
