Sales & Marketing Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager within our company is responsible for customer-facing interactions with customers and prospects in North America. The scope of the role includes generating and managing sales. Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Partnering with Supply Chain, you will lead efforts on: Management of current accounts and prospecting new business. Identify market opportunities and grow current assigned accounts and revenue. Identifying and contacting potential customers, presenting products/services, conducting demonstrations, answering questions, and educating clients; guiding clients from initial interest to closing deals. Effectively launching new products within your customer/prospect responsibility scope. Be operationally expert in CRM and internal Sales processes. Attend and support major tradeshows in North America, including but not limited to IFT and SSG. Engage with existing customers to increase overall relationship span that conveys core competencies while delivering profitable volume growth. Develop relationships with prospective customers in order to gain market share and grow market volume. All other duties as assigned by management. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field, with 1-2 years of work experience in the food/nutritional ingredient industry; OR In lieu of a college degree, 5-7+ years of work experience in the food/nutritional ingredient sales would be required. Demonstrated computer skills/knowledge of Microsoft Office (includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Valid Driver's License: clean driving record and personal vehicle are a must. Preferred Qualifications
Experienced user of CRM as well as fluent in Internet search capabilities. Well organized, with excellent time management skills. Solid communication skills both written and oral. Self-motivated; self-starter; customer friendly personality. Works well with all levels of the corporation. Physical Demands
Ability to travel by air, automobile, walking, etc. Lifting ability in general up to 20-40 pounds (samples, travel luggage, etc.) Extended periods spent sitting/standing at desk in front of computer screen. Regularly required reach with hands and arms. Work Environment
Job functions will primarily be carried out in office (Irving, TX) environments. Periodic interactions will be held within Customer and Plant environments. You must have the ability to travel approx. 20-40% of the time to visit customer locations (by air or car), trade-shows and internal meetings. If required, weekend travels may be deemed necessary.
