Inside Sales Representative

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide outside and inside sales with support to manage new and existing accounts
Responsible for professionally managing incoming requests from customers and ensuring issues are resolved promptly and accurately
Contact customers through, but not limited to, customer visits, phone calls, email
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

Assist Sales Rep in Co-managing accounts, region, or product specific markets. This includes but is not limited to identifying and order requirements, taking the order and order entry
Entering/processing quotations, orders, credits, and invoicing through our ERP System
Point of contact for customers expediting orders. Notify customers of the promised delivery date with an order acknowledgment and ensure the customer receives their orders on time and shipment commitment targets are met
Ability to interpret structural and/or isometric drawings
Ability to complete simple material take off from customer supplied drawings and specifications
Assist in follow-up with customers on concerns of logistics, tax, and variance in delivery
Cross functional technical team collaboration with internal and external customers
Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and product data information
Technical support for internal and external customers
Match product availability and company programs with customer requirements
Maintain files for orders and the customer address database
Receive and document customer complaints
Perform in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Solid basic computer skills (MS Office suite, Outlook, Oracle, ERP Systems, etc.).
Sound Math skills – (will be assed, primarily geometry)
Understanding material take-offs & cut list
Basic understanding of construction, construction materials, construction schedules, and logistics
Basic understanding of industry standards, (ex NAAMM, ANSI, ASTM etc.) and load tables
Previous knowledge and experience in order entry, shipping and invoicing procedures and general understanding of the quote-to-cash processes
Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail and accuracy to achieve goals
Strong customer service and people skills with a high level of professionalism (active listening, communicates assertively and with tact, willing to learn, empathy, conflict resolution & problem solving)
Ability to work well under pressure
Multi-task and manage time to accomplish all tasks in a timely manner
Ability to follow through on projects to closure
Ability to work well collaboratively as well as independently
Highly customer-focused and have a true “whatever it takes” attitude to ensure a world class customer support performance to internal and external customers
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use of eyes for close vision, use hands, fingers, grasp, handle, reach, listen, talk, and may need to talk on the telephone while taking notes. Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or up to 5 pounds constantly to move objects.
