Position Overview: Cloud7Works is seeking a motivated, proactive and self-driven Business Development & Marketing Associate to own and execute the company’s business development and marketing activities. This role will work directly with company leadership and will be responsible for identifying opportunities, supporting capture and proposal efforts, maintaining marketing assets, and representing Cloud7Works at industry events. This role is ideal for someone who wants hands-on ownership of BD and marketing functions and is comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with leadership and technical teams. Key Responsibilities: Business Development & Pipeline Ownership Identify and track federal and commercial opportunities using SAM.gov, agency sites, and other market intelligence sources Maintain the company’s opportunity pipeline, trackers, and BD reporting Conduct market research, customer analysis, and competitor research to support growth strategy Coordinate directly with leadership on bid/no-bid decisions and pursuit prioritization Support capture activities including customer research, meeting preparation, call notes, and action tracking Conduct outreach via email and phone (cold calling) to government contacts and potential partners Proposal & Capture Support Coordinate proposal activities including schedules, document organization, compliance checks, and submission support Work with technical and management staff to collect inputs for proposals and responses Maintain proposal templates, past performance content, resumes, and reusable BD assets Support post-submission activities and debrief preparation Marketing & Brand Execution Maintain and update company marketing materials, including capability statements, presentations, and one-pagers Manage and regularly update Company website and LinkedIn with posts, achievements, event photos, and company news content in coordination with leadership Update website content in coordination with leadership to maintain active online presence Support email campaigns, announcements, and outreach efforts Track and report on marketing activities and effectiveness Events & External Engagement Plan and support participation in local and regional conferences, industry days, and networking events Represent Cloud7Works at selected events and support follow-up outreach Coordinate logistics, materials, and contact tracking related to events Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred 2–4 years of experience in business development, marketing, sales support, or related roles Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams Professional presence and comfort engaging with external stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with federal contracting, SAM.gov, and government procurement processes Experience supporting proposals or capture activities in a small or mid-sized firm Experience with CRM, pipeline tracking, or marketing tools Interest in growing into a senior BD, capture, or growth leadership role Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-growing environment
