Job Location & Work Model This role will be based in San Francisco, Sunnyvale, or New York City. The work location is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. TeamContext LinkedIn’s Business Development team plays a critical role in executing and accelerating LinkedIn’s Product roadmap and strategy. The BD team drives growth, engagement, and monetization globally through partnerships, articulating partner strategies, identifying and executing the right deals, and managing partnerships and strategic initiatives, in collaboration with product and other cross-functional teams. Collaboration with Product Management to conceive and execute product integration opportunities is critical. This role drives the growth of LinkedIn’s Measurement and insights by sharing data with key partners including analytics, attribution, and marketing automation providers. Role Scope The Business Development Manager plays a significant leadership role in LinkedIn’s business and product teams. This role is an excellent opportunity to join a small team that leads long-term company-wide product and partnerships initiatives that impact hundreds of millions of professionals and organizations worldwide. The focus is on developing and executing high-impact product and partnership strategies that help LinkedIn customers understand and optimize the performance of their LinkedIn Marketing investments. The ideal candidate will have relevant partnership experience in the advertising measurement industry, measurement subject matter expertise, and the ability to work cross-functionally to define and implement new solutions. Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategies and partnerships for the Measurement partner program from conception to launch, establishing clear goals, incentives and operational cadence for the program. Collaborate with partners and cross-functional teams to drive adoption of Measurement products. Drive innovation and incubation of new partnerships and use cases with key partners to increase adoption of valuable partner-run Measurement solutions. Establish and maintain strategic partner relationships between LinkedIn and key Measurement, martech/salestech partners and relevant industry groups. Leverage relationships and knowledge to bring ecosystem insights to inform LinkedIn strategy and roadmap. Negotiate partnership agreements with Legal and other cross-functional teams to drive decisions and commitment on deal points. Synthesize and share relevant ecosystem insights about the digital advertising industry and innovations in advertising measurement with LinkedIn’s leaders and executives. Work with other groups across the organization, including Sales, Product, Engineering, Partner Engineering, Marketing, Communications, and Legal to drive value through partnerships and visibility of BD activities. Leverage data analysis and market insights to develop executive-level business cases quantifying the size of prize and value exchange of key partnerships. Travel may be required for this role. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Economics or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience in partnership-related roles (e.g. Business Development, Partner Management) in a technology company Preferred Qualifications Experience in or advising in the B2B advertising and marketing space. Experience and interest in Ads Measurement and/or attribution, optimization, identity, including knowledge of prevalent industry approaches run by ad platforms, customers, and 3P vendors and how those solutions influence advertiser decisioning. Experience in an analytical role or responsibilities (e.g. consulting firm, investment bank, corporate M&A/Corporate Strategy or Business Operations) ideally working on product strategy. Technical understanding of 3rd party measurement including signals that power these tools, data sharing practices, and partnership options available based on specific technical scenarios. Demonstrated experience managing or structuring complex product partnerships. Demonstrated ability to perform in an entrepreneurial setting, working independently across multiple groups and thriving in a dynamic environment. Strong written and oral communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to distill complex ideas into clear messaging for both C-Suite and technical audiences. Personal values align with LinkedIn core values and ability to collaborate effectively in a win-win fashion with XFN teams and partners. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors, including skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and location.
