Overview
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Lead Product Designer in Switzerland.
As a Lead Product Designer, you will drive the design vision and execution for a complex, developer-focused platform. This hands-on role blends strategic product thinking with practical design execution, giving you ownership over feature design, user experience, and long-term product evolution. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, DevOps teams, and other designers to create scalable, high-quality solutions that empower both technical and non-technical users. The position offers the opportunity to shape design systems, mentor team members, and influence product direction while working in a fully remote, international environment that values sustainability, innovation, and autonomy.
Responsibilities
Own and drive the product design vision, ensuring alignment with overall product strategy and company goals
Design end-to-end product features, including user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI
Lead design decisions on complex workflows, platform UX, permissions, and lifecycle management
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, DevOps teams, and stakeholders to validate designs and influence product decisions
Maintain consistency and scalability through design systems and shared UI patterns
Mentor and collaborate with other designers, providing feedback and guiding design quality across the product
Support frontend implementation by working closely with engineers and advising on code-related design trade-offs
Provide regular reporting and retrospectives to leadership on design progress and outcomes
Requirements
10+ years of experience in product design, with prior leadership or senior ownership roles
Proven ability to scale a design team and implement best practices in team structure and workflows
Strong portfolio demonstrating design of complex digital products, ideally developer tools, SaaS, or technical platforms
Expertise in interaction design, UX architecture, visual and UI design
Solid understanding of frontend fundamentals (HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript) and ability to reason about code
Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams and influencing product decisions
Excellent communication skills to articulate design rationale to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Startup mindset with ability to operate autonomously in a remote-first environment
Fluent in English; French proficiency is a plus
Familiarity with developer platforms, DevOps, cloud tools, or internal developer platforms is highly desirable
Benefits
Competitive salary and benefits package
Fully remote work with flexibility and autonomy
Home office setup budget up to €1200 and device choice policy
Annual company retreat in the EU
Influence over product direction and ownership of design decisions
Professional growth and continuous learning support
Collaborative, highly technical, and passionate team environment
Commitment to sustainability and positive environmental impact
