Overview

PCB design engineer with strong experience in layout, routing, and manufacturability. Role requires deep understanding of electronics, circuit theory, analog/digital, and RF design, with hands-on experience in creating footprints and schematic symbols, and adherence to IPC standards for PCB design. Responsibilities

Physical layout and routing of PCBs, including component placement, trace routing, and layer stack‑up management for high‑speed, multi‑layer, and rigid‑flex boards. Use industry-standard CAD tools (primarily Altium Designer) to create layouts, footprints, and schematic symbols. Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) principles to ensure reliable, cost‑effective production. Ensure signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) to prevent EMI/EMC issues. Generate Gerber files, fabrication drawings, and assembly documentation (BOMs) for production. Library management: create, update, and maintain component footprints and schematic symbols in EDA libraries. Interface with PCB manufacturers to resolve design-related issues. Qualifications

Knowledge of PCB technologies and manufacturing. Deep understanding of electronics, circuit theory, analog/digital circuits, and RF design. 5 to 8+ years of experience in PCB layout and design, physical layout (stack‑up), and board schematic capture. At least 5 years of experience building schematic symbols and part footprints. Sound knowledge of electrical and electronic components – Surface Mount and through‑hole. Hands-on experience in creating footprints and sound knowledge of IPC standards associated with PCB design. Experience with fabrication & assembly and MIL standards. Software Proficiency: expert knowledge of CAD layout tools (primarily Altium Designer).
