The
Marketing Manager
develops and executes comprehensive marketing strategies to promote the convention center, increase event bookings, and enhance the overall brand presence. This role requires a strategic thinker with experience in marketing, event promotion, digital campaigns, and public relations, with a focus on driving revenue growth and increasing occupancy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute marketing initiatives. Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth. This role pays an annual salary of $60,000-65,000 Benefits for Full-Time roles: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, 401(k) matching, and Paid Time Off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays) This position will remain open until April 24, 2026. is the finest full-service convention center in the Greater St. Louis metropolitan area. Containing over 154,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, including 83,000 square feet of exhibit space, the SCCC is the perfect place for events up to 3,000 attendees. Responsibilities
Create and execute annual year-end report of the center’s performance. To Include overview of achievements, highlights, financial performance, data of events, community impact and satisfaction metrics. Develop strategies to increase brand awareness and enhance the center’s reputation as a premier event destination. Manage the center’s digital presence, including website content, SEO, social media channels, and email marketing campaigns. Analyze digital performance metrics and adjust strategies to optimize reach, engagement, and conversion. Collaborate with the sales team to create targeted promotional campaigns and sales blitz that drive event inquiries and bookings. Coordinates design and layout of ads to be used in national and local publications to publicize the facility and/or special events. Works with clients to promote events on the centers website, social media platforms, digital marquee and internal screens to market and promote client events. Collaborate with culinary and events team to photograph and video offerings that showcase unique images. Design ad materials and portfolios for various department to utilize for sales presentations. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in marketing, public relations, communications, business or other related field Minimum 3-5 years of increasingly responsible experience in sales and/or marketing, preferably with a sports facility, convention center, performing arts facility or other multi-purpose public assembly facility Strong leadership, organizational and computer skills required Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills Must be a committed, organized user of social media tools, with an understanding of how to drive programs through digital media, manage database marketing to reach new customers and drive increased revenue. Strong work ethic Accountable and detail-oriented; must be able to juggle many tasks within time constraints Microsoft office applications and word processing skills required, as well as database management, graphic design, PowerPoint Strong understanding of social media, web-based advertising and website maintenance Team player who is a creative and proactive problem solver Work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, extended (long) work days and extended number of days when required Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is preferred Equal Opportunity
