Otak is hiring for a Pursuit Manager with outstanding writing skills to join our Marketing and Business Development Team in Portland, OR. What You’ll Do

Pursuit Strategy and Planning: Lead and champion capture planning in partnership with the marketing leadership and technical teams to define the project, our approach, decision makers, competition, and Otak differentiators.

Conduct market, client, and competitor research to inform pursuit strategies and proposal messaging.

Lead and/or participate in the go/no-go process.

Pursuit and Proposal Management

Manage the submittal phase in collaboration with technical and marketing staff to produce high-quality proposals, statements of qualification, and related materials.

Oversee and support the preparation, writing, editing, and integration of all content.

Coordinate internal reviews, quality control, and final production to ensure project focused, compliant submissions.

Support client interviews and pursuit related meetings, including coaching presenters and developing presentation materials.

Participate in post pursuit debriefs and improve pursuit tools, data management, templates and best practices.

Collaboration and Leadership

Collaborate closely with Marketing, Business Development and Communications teams to strengthen the firm’s brand, align messaging, and achieve pursuit and growth objectives.

Serve as a key team member of the larger Otak marketing and business development organization, supporting firmwide marketing projects and efforts.

Mentor and train technical and marketing coordinators on pursuit best practices, proposal writing, and interview preparation.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field

5+ years of marketing experience, including a minimum of 3 years A/E/C proposal experience.

Experience with MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as InDesign and Photoshop, and CRM tools such as Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint.

Demonstrated excellence in writing and editing.

Strong management, interpersonal communication, and conflict resolution skills.

Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and deadline-driven environment.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience, qualifications, and work location as well as market and business considerations.

Salary Range: $93,000 - $115,000 per year
