Overview
We are looking for an entry-level Copywriter to join our creative team. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn how great creative work is developed inside an agency environment. You’ll support senior writers and the broader creative team. You’ll develop social content, assist with conceptual development, complete annotations and references, and help bring creative work across the finish line. This role is a critical foundation for understanding how strategy, copy, art, and science come together to create effective work.
Responsibilities
Develop social content for healthcare clients and key audiences—healthcare professionals (80%) and patients (20%). Gain general medical knowledge in therapeutic areas and understanding of audiences (e.g., physicians, patients, sales reps). Support internal creative copywriting initiatives. Write content that is on-strategy and in language that’s compelling and differentiating; perform basic proofreading, paying attention to the relationship with art and copy. Learn annotation, reference and apply AMA style across creative projects. Support senior writers on assigned projects to develop and refine creative ideas. Learn the fundamentals of healthcare marketing: how an agency operates, the dynamics of the copywriter–art director partnerships, FDA standards, and ways of translating clinical data into promotional messages.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, writing, or related field. Excellent writing and communication skills. Writing samples and/or creative portfolio. Curious, organized, and eager to learn. Interested in a fast-paced working environment. Comfortable supporting others and contributing behind the scenes. Interested in understanding how creative work functions inside an agency. Open to feedback and willing to revise and refine your work.
Interested in working with us? Apply online today. For this role, a copy of your work portfolio will also be required for future interview stages.
Our total compensation package includes base salary, discretionary bonus, health benefits and a 401k match.
