Performance Analyst - Erlanger, KY Job Summary The Performance Analyst analyzes, reports, and optimizes performance metrics across IT Infrastructure & Operations (IT I&O) to support strategic decision‑making and improve service delivery. Reporting to the Operations and Performance Director, this role transforms complex data into actionable insights through advanced analytics and visualization, enabling leadership to cost efficiency, service quality improvements, and technology roadmap alignment. The analyst collaborates across teams to define performance benchmarks, uncover optimization opportunities, and deliver transparent reporting that highlights IT infrastructure’s contribution to business outcomes. The role also leads executive communications and reporting efforts, developing clear, data‑driven materials for leadership and board presentations that effectively translate technical performance into strategic narratives.

Responsibilities

Develop dashboards and analytics that quantify IT I&O performance, cost efficiency, and business contribution for leadership decisions

Produce and update key operational and financial reports, including: Monthly Flash Report, Month‑End Financials, Metrics & KPIs, Project Portfolio, Incident Trend Report, and Cost Reduction

Analyze infrastructure utilization and costs to identify optimization opportunities, support FinOps initiatives, and drive efficiency gains

Partner with leadership to define performance benchmarks, establish key performance indicators (KPIs), and create scorecards that track progress against strategic objectives and service level agreements (SLAs)

Conduct root cause analysis on performance issues and service incidents, identifying patterns and recommending solutions that improve reliability

Monitor vendor and service provider performance metrics, assess SLA compliance, and provide data‑driven recommendations for contract optimization

Analyze performance trends across compute, storage, and network infrastructure to identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and improvement areas

Support capacity and demand planning through predictive analytics, forecasting resource needs, and providing insights on utilization patterns and growth

Collaborate cross‑functionally to gather requirements, align metrics with business objectives, and deliver reports highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities

Deploy automation tools to streamline data collection, enhance reporting accuracy, and improve real‑time performance monitoring capabilities across systems

Drive continuous improvement by identifying process gaps, proposing enhancements, and supporting implementation of data‑driven optimization initiatives

Develop and deliver executive‑ready presentations and communications that translate complex IT performance data into clear insights for leadership and board audiences

Requirements

College diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field

2+ years of experience performance analysis, data analytics, or IT operations, with a focus on reporting and optimization

Technical proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), SQL, and performance monitoring platforms

Experience with IT performance platforms and infrastructure management tools

Understanding of FinOps principles, cloud cost management, and infrastructure cost optimization strategies

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and present actionable insights

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with stakeholders and cross‑functional teams effectively

Certifications such as Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Lean Six Sigma, or credentials in performance analysis or data analytics are highly desirable
