As a key leader within Amazon's Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF) team, the Portfolio Strategist role will oversee the creation and delivery of portfolio-wide AMER transaction strategies down to the city, building and org level. This role will lead the prioritization and presentation of strategic insights and recommendations to lease, build, move, consolidate, close, etc. sites to GREF decision makers and senior business leaders for alignment. The Portfolio Strategist will align real estate strategy to business needs in partnership with key GREF Stakeholders and use reporting and research trends to drive data-based decision-making processes. They will use a customer-centric approach, partnering with them to understand and influence space needs and requirements to inform supply and demand allocations. The role will be responsible for developing and presenting recommendations to acquire or dispose of sites by leveraging Amazon’s size and scale and translating business requirements into effective solutions aligned with the workplace strategy.
Responsibilities
Lead the creation of city-wide strategy plans for major metro areas and develop portfolio plans that align to business goals, growth projections, customer needs, and market trends.
Oversee supply and demand (current/forecast) requirements by city and design portfolio strategy scenarios to identify approaches that best align with business goals.
Identify opportunities and provide guidance to optimize space for all orgs within the existing portfolio and new acquisitions.
Effectively prioritize work efforts across vendor partner contingency.
Effectively manage cross-functional engagement with the city, internal stakeholders (SPMs, D&C, MAC, RE&F), and customers to drive coordination of efforts.
Bachelor's degree
8+ years of owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
6+ years of program or project management experience, or a Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience
Experience with written and verbal communication and presentation
Experience assessing portfolio opportunity to make the appropriate long term strategic investments while maintaining the short-term delivery of leads
Experience in data analysis and leveraging analytics to make decisions
Can communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Experience with strong project management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
6+ years of property management, asset management, portfolio management and/or real estate financial analysis experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
