Overview

MT Group Bio is a biospecimen collection company that has supplied pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and diagnostics companies with high-quality human tissues and blood samples since 2003. We partner with clinical sites worldwide to support translational research, biomarker discovery, and assay development. About the role We\'re looking for a Business Development Manager to own and grow relationships with major pharmaceutical companies in the Mid-Atlantic region and others headquartered or with significant R&D presence on the East Coast. This is not a traditional sales role. We don\'t need someone who can "make introductions" or relay messages between customers and operations. We need someone who understands the science, knows what our customers are trying to accomplish, and can speak credibly about study design, sample types, therapeutic areas, and collection feasibility. At MT Group, we lead with expertise—our clients trust us because we understand their work. Responsibilities Build and maintain relationships with translational scientists, biomarker leads, and procurement teams at target accounts Develop and manage a pipeline of prospective collection opportunities across oncology, immunology, and other therapeutic areas Draft and deliver feasibility assessments that reflect real operational capabilities and timelines Develop pricing and quotes in collaboration with leadership Track project progress and communicate proactively with customers throughout the collection lifecycle Coordinate closely with our operations and broader business development team to ensure successful project execution Travel regularly to customer sites for face-to-face meetings Qualifications Deep existing relationships at East Coast pharmaceutical companies—people who will take your call Strong experience in biospecimen sales, with emphasis on prospective clinical collections rather than catalog or biobank sales Solid understanding of translational research, biomarkers, and the clinical contexts in which samples are used Comfort with the details: you\'ll write feasibilities, set pricing, and manage project specifics, not hand them off to someone else Proven track record of success working remotely with minimal supervision Genuine curiosity about the science and a desire to keep learning High attention to detail and strong written communication skills About us MT Group is a small, focused company. We don\'t have layers of management or large support teams. Our business development professionals are expected to be self-sufficient, resourceful, and deeply knowledgeable about what we do. If you thrive in that environment and want to build something meaningful with a team that values substance over flash, we\'d like to hear from you.
