We are seeking a
Director of Audience Insights & Segmentation (Contractor)
to lead the development of data-driven audience strategies across its portfolio of iconic brands. This role sits within the Marketing Intelligence organization and is responsible for translating complex data into clear, compelling insights that inform marketing strategy, media planning, and business decision-making.
You will partner closely with brand marketing leaders, embedded insights resources, and media agency partners to ensure audience insights are effectively infused across campaigns and go-to-market strategies.
What You’ll Do
Leverage first- and third-party data sources to generate audience strategies and refine audience segments across the brand portfolio.
Partner with brand marketing teams to provide analytical expertise that enables performance media and integrated marketing initiatives.
Utilize proprietary and syndicated tools to develop analyses that tell a clear audience story and translate insights into actionable segments.
Collaborate with brand-aligned embedded resources to integrate audience insights into brand vision, positioning, and growth strategies.
Craft audience insights into compelling narratives and presentations that inform key business and marketing decisions.
Serve as a strategic partner to brands during planning cycles, offering a 360-degree, portfolio-wide view of audience insights.
Partner with media agency teams to ensure insights are infused into activation and optimization efforts.
Act as a key engine of insight generation, supporting the Sr. Director of Audience Intelligence in communicating and operationalizing learnings.
Collaborate closely with the Audience Data team to deliver holistic, consistent audience strategies across the portfolio.

Who You Are
Former Associate Director, Director, or Head of Consumer or Audience Insights, ideally operating as a consultant or fractional leader.
Background in consumer insights research (quantitative and/or qualitative), social listening, or research agencies/startups strongly preferred.
8+ years of marketing experience, including 5+ years focused on audience insights, segmentation, or social listening.
Proven experience leading insights projects end-to-end and managing analysts or external vendors.
Highly skilled in building visually compelling, editorial-style decks and coaching junior team members.
Strong understanding of research methodologies, data systems, and analytics tools.
Demonstrated ability to synthesize data from multiple first-, second-, and third-party sources into strategic insights.
Curious, creative, solution-oriented, and comfortable navigating complex, matrixed organizations.
Exceptional communicator with the ability to influence, collaborate, and drive alignment across teams.
Preferred Experience
Experience working within a multi-brand or portfolio-based organization.
Familiarity with modern media strategies, audience platforms, and content trends.
Strong data visualization and storytelling skills.
