Social Media Manager
(Hybrid, Contract)
Location: Council Bluffs, Iowa
Schedule: 32 hours per week, Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Work Model: Hybrid — in person 3 days per week

About the Role We’re growing and are looking for an experienced Social Media Manager to join our team in a hands-on, strategic role based out of our Council Bluffs office. This position is ideal for someone who understands both the creative and analytical sides of social media and enjoys working closely with clients, trends, and data.
This role will own day-to-day social media execution while assisting with strategy, improvement, and performance optimization across multiple client accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and manage monthly social media content calendars
Assist with social media strategy development and refinement
Schedule content across platforms (primarily Instagram, Facebook, and Google Business Profile)
Capture and gather content (photo/video) as needed during in-person office days and client needs
Stay current on platform trends, audio, formats, and best practices
Conduct ongoing trend research and identify opportunities to improve reach and engagement
Monitor and analyze performance metrics (reach, engagement, growth, etc.)
Provide insights and recommendations based on analytics to improve results
Collaborate closely with the owner and internal team to align content with client goals
Ensure content is on-brand, timely, and aligned with current best practices
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in a Social Media Manager role
Proven experience managing social media for businesses or brands
Strong understanding of Instagram and Facebook best practices (Reels, Stories, feeds, engagement)
Experience with scheduling tools and analytics platforms
Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Working with clients to refine content and get feedback
Must be local to Council Bluffs/Omaha area and available to work in person 3 days per week, 9–5
Reliable transportation for local content capture needs
