Role Overview
NextGen Coding Company is seeking a
Video Editor & Content Operations Specialist
to support high-volume, founder-led content production for an enterprise B2B audience.
This role is responsible for converting long-form recordings into consistent, high-quality short-form and long-form video assets across social and video platforms. The position is execution-oriented and process-driven, with a strong emphasis on
speed, reliability, communication, and repeatability .
This is
not
a creative director or influencer role. Strategy, themes, and messaging frameworks are provided. The role exists to ensure timely, accurate, and scalable content output.
Core Responsibilities Video Production & Editing
Edit long-form founder recordings into short-form clips and long-form YouTube content
Identify high-signal moments aligned with provided themes
Package content for:
Instagram Reels
TikTok
LinkedIn
YouTube Shorts
YouTube (long-form)
Content Packaging
Create clean, high-contrast thumbnails following brand guidelines
Write captions using provided hook and CTA frameworks
Ensure consistency in tone, formatting, and structure across platforms
Content Operations
Maintain organized file structures and naming conventions
Track assigned work and delivery status
Communicate progress, blockers, and timelines proactively
Implement feedback and revisions quickly
Weekly Deliverables (Baseline Expectations) Each week, the editor is expected to deliver approximately:
8–15 short-form video clips
1–2 long-form YouTube videos
(or equivalent long-form edits)
8–15 captions
written using provided frameworks
Thumbnails for all published videos
Daily or near-daily status updates on work in progress
Volume may increase based on performance and availability.
Monthly Deliverables Over a full month, the role should support:
120 short-form clips
20 long-form YouTube videos
Consistent posting cadence across all active platforms
Continuous improvement in turnaround time and content consistency
Required Skills & Experience
Strong proficiency in short-form video editing
Experience working with long, unstructured recordings
Ability to follow written SOPs and frameworks precisely
Comfort working under tight timelines and volume requirements
Tools
CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent
Canva, Figma, or Photoshop for thumbnails
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with B2B, enterprise, or technical content
Familiarity with software, engineering, automation, or operations topics
Prior experience supporting founder-led or executive content
Ability to maintain quality under repetition and scale
Performance Standards (Non-Negotiable)
24–48 hour turnaround
on assigned content
Same-day revisions
when requested
Daily communication
during active work periods
Immediate escalation of blockers or delays
Missed deadlines, lack of communication, or unreported delays will be treated as performance issues.
Trial Assignment Shortlisted candidates will complete a trial assignment:
Receive 15–20 minutes of raw footage
Deliver within 24 hours:
3–5 short-form clips
1–2 thumbnails
Captions using a provided framework
