The Social Media & Events Coordinator will serve as the project manager for the department’s social media, content development, and event planning initiatives. This role is responsible for creating and managing engaging digital content, coordinating social media campaigns, and supporting the planning and execution of events that promote the organization’s brand and programs. On-Site. Calverton, NY. Responsibilities

Assist in implementing key elements of the strategic marketing plan by coordinating internal resources, managing timelines, and ensuring deliverables and deadlines are met across social, digital and event-focused projects. Manage and execute content planning, posting schedules, and engagement monitoring. Lead the creation of externally focused materials including brochures and sales sheets. Manage public relations (PR) opportunities, press releases, and media pitching with external PR agency; coordinate internal spokespeople as sources. Initiate project management process, track, and manage projects. Analyze campaign tracking to identify problems or enhancements to be made in real-time. Identify and make the most out of brand building and sponsorship opportunities. Oversee communication around employee recognition program(s). Serve on the values committee and coordinate its activities. Other duties

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications preferred Excellent communication skills Strong project management, attention to detail and problem-solving skills Writing/editing skills Ability to understand and analyze trends Ability to focus and prioritize based on changing direction Capable of managing challenges and setbacks with confidence Comfortable with all social media platforms Experience with MS Office suite, Google, and relevant applications
