
The Associate Director, Global Sourcing will partner closely with Marketing and Medical Affairs leaders to manage external spend and drive strategic value across global supplier categories. This role owns end-to-end sourcing strategy, from supplier evaluation and contract negotiation through compliance and performance management, while enabling strong cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute global sourcing category strategies and value-generation plans Build and manage strategic relationships with Marketing, Medical Affairs, and cross-functional partners (Legal, Finance, IT) Lead strategic sourcing initiatives including supplier selection, contracting, and post-contract management Drive supplier relationship management and performance frameworks focused on continuous improvement Take a holistic view of spend to identify demand management, leverage, and total cost of ownership opportunities Support high-performing engagement models across business units and regions Leverage market and industry insights to anticipate trends and inform mid- to long-term sourcing plans Support compliance with financial controls, policies, SOPs, FCPA, and global regulations Promote supplier diversity and innovation across the supplier base Required Qualifications
7+ years of progressive global procurement experience, ideally supporting Marketing, Medical Affairs, or R&D Pharmaceutical industry procurement experience, including medical affairs, marketing, patient services, meetings & events, or R&D Experience working with CROs and external research providers Familiarity with clinical trials, medical evidence studies, real-world evidence, and secondary healthcare data Strong relationship-building, influencing, and cross-functional leadership skills High ethical standards, integrity, and the ability to drive change Education
BA/BS in Business, Finance, Operations, or related field
