Position Overview: Personal Lines Account Manager. We are seeking a dynamic and client-focused Personal Lines Account Manager to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and carrier representatives while delivering outstanding customer service. This role requires sound judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to represent the agency positively in both professional and community settings. A positive outlook and growth mindset are essential to success in this position.

Licensing & Eligibility A valid insurance license is required for this role. If you do not currently hold an insurance license, it is expected that you complete and obtain your license within 90 days of employment. We cover the cost of the licensing class and exam to support your success.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay range: $40,000 - $60,000/year (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities

Manage and service assigned accounts following agency best practices.

Maintain high levels of client satisfaction through proactive communication and problem-solving.

Assist with marketing and placement of new business and renewal accounts.

Achieve sales and retention goals by identifying opportunities for account rounding and up-selling.

Conduct annual policy reviews to ensure clients have appropriate coverage.

Maintain organized and accurate client files, including processing policies, endorsements, invoices, and binders.

Oversee renewal expiration lists, binders, and aged receivables.

Ensure proper documentation and adherence to underwriting requirements.

Prepare billing statements in accordance with credit and collection policies.

Verify the accuracy of all processed transactions and policy changes.

Stay updated on industry trends, underwriting requirements, and carrier updates.

Participate in continuing education courses for insurance and sales skills development.

Keep current with industry regulations and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.

Engage in special projects as requested by management.

Qualifications & Education

Two-year associate degree required; four-year college degree preferred.

Experience with Adobe Pro, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and phone systems.

Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desire to develop and maintain a deep knowledge of insurance industry products and best practices.

High level of self-motivation, initiative, and ability to work independently.

Familiarity with brokerage operations, claims handling, risk assessment, and applicable insurance laws.
