Position Overview:
Georgia State University's Instructional Innovation and Technology (IIT) division is seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Digital Marketing and Communications Strategist, Lead
to join our Communications department. The person in this role will develop digital strategies and content to drive adoption of innovative instructional and technology services and enhance customer experience with university technology solutions. In addition, they will plan events, outreach, and use social media to expand technology adoption.
Key Responsibilities
The scope of responsibilities for this position will include but is not limited to the following essential duties:
Digital Marketing and Content Development
• Create and maintain digital marketing materials, including web resources, newsletters, and other digital assets.
• Develop and implement social media strategies and campaigns to drive engagement.
• Plan and contribute to publications that articulate the university's involvement in the evolving digital education and research landscape.
• Compose, edit, and proofread content for accuracy, grammar, consistency and compliance with university brand standards.
Outreach and Event Organization
• Develop and coordinate outreach opportunities to increase awareness of technology services and improve accessibility.
• Coordinate events that support technology initiatives.
Design and Layout
• Develop graphical concepts and design interfaces based on customer requirements to convey messages effectively.
Research
• Research trends and technology to ensure work meets highest industry standards.
Collaboration and Customer Service
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with stakeholders.
• Provide excellent service and assist customers with efficient project communication.

Qualifications:
Minimum Hiring Qualifications:

• Familiarity with email marketing and social media tools
• Knowledge of data processing and web principles, practices, and equipment in Information Technology
• Ability to multi-task and use independent judgment
