$85,000–$95,000 base salary + generous annual bonus

We’re partnering with a well-established, global organization headquartered in Hoffman Estates to hire a Senior Benefits Specialist to support a growing U.S. employee population. This is a hybrid role offering strong visibility, ownership, and long-term career growth in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

The Senior Benefits Specialist position is a blended role, with approximately 70% focused on benefits administration and 30% supporting payroll. You’ll be part of a collaborative HR/Payroll team supporting a mid-to-large employee base across multiple U.S. locations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Benefits Specialist, you will:

  • Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans

  • Manage open enrollment, COBRA administration, and life-event changes (new hires, terminations, status changes)

  • Support payroll processing in partnership with a payroll team (employee population of 800+; multiple payroll processors in place)

  • Perform regular benefits and payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance

  • Maintain employee data within a larger HRIS environment (ADP preferred, but not required)

  • Prepare recurring and ad-hoc compensation and benefits reports

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee benefit and payroll inquiries

Qualifications

The ideal Senior Benefits Specialist will bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in benefits administration with light payroll exposure

  • Experience supporting a mid-sized or larger organization (100+ employees preferred)

  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms; ADP Workforce Now is a plus

  • Bachelor’s degree (highly preferred)

  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and process improvement mindset

  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
