This position is located at Fort Stewart Pools. This vacancy is for multiple aquatic facilities located on Fort Stewart, GA. Position will work outdoor pools in summer, working between 8:00 a.m. thru 6:00 p.m. and on weekends/holidays. May be required to work in all aquatics facilities to include indoor 6 am thru 8 pm and outdoor swimming pools. Incentives will not be paid. Salary: $15 to $16 per hour. Pay scale & grade: NF 1. Serves as a lifeguard for indoor and outdoor pools and works under the direction of the Installation Aquatics Program Manager. Provides maximum pool area surveillance and responds to emergencies; rescues pool patrons and administers first aid as required. Employs safety rules for the protection of the pool guests. Responsible for lifeguarding guests in attendance at the assigned aquatics facility. Assists in maintaining pool, and area clean and free from any hazards. Requirements

Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Possesses and maintains the following certifications: Lifeguarding and First Aid (American Red Cross or nationally recognized equivalenti.e. Star Guard, YMCA, or ELLIS); American Red Cross "Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional; CPR for the ProfessionalRescuer/AED or equivalent (American Heart Association CPR/AED); Certifications must be uploaded at time of application.
