About North Fork Country Club
North Fork Country Club is a private club located on the North Fork of Long Island. A breathtaking waterfront setting that boasts a beautiful Donald Ross design. Aside from the beautiful 18-hole golf course, North Fork also has 2 Har-Tru tennis courts as well as a full practice facility with a driving range and chipping area. North Fork has gone under a full bunker & tee renovation that will bring back elements of the original Donald Ross design, with modern day playability in mind. We are looking for a driven, passionate individual to join our team as the Equipment/Shop Manager. Working alongside the Agronomy Team, the Equipment Manager will be responsible for daily upkeep, preventative maintenance, and repair of all Grounds Maintenance equipment. Course Information
Agronomy Budget: 2.2mil Capital Equipment Budget: 100k-400k+ a year In 2025 we started a 3 phase Capital equipment program to replace all crucial mowing equipment over 12 years. Equipment Maintenance
Performing daily preventative maintenance and repairs on all equipment (Gas, Diesel equipment.) Ensures optimal quality of cut for all playing surfaces daily. Placing orders for parts and supplies needed for maintenance. Maintaining an organized and clean shop area. Operating equipment in a safe manner. Lift at least 50 pounds. Being involved in the daily planning, scheduling, and decision-making process. Works with the staff to ensure proper training of equipment, care and safety stands. Maintains exceptional records of all equipment, preventative maintenance schedules and other items. Troubleshooting equipment breakdowns. Proficient in interpreting repair manuals, instruction sheets, and hydraulic and electrical schematics. The ability to weld and fabricate to aid in repairs. NFCC Equipment

Create, manage, and facilitate onboarding for all new employees such as new hire orientation, safety standards, equipment service standards and initial equipment training, maintenance facility cleaning, and organizational standards. Effective oral and written communication skills with team members and management. 3-5 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of golf course equipment and or small engines/ diesel mechanic Familiarity with grinding reels and bedknives is a plus Basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing knowledge is a plus.
