Performance Foodservice, PFG's broadline distributor, maintains a unique relationship with a variety of local customers, including independent restaurants and hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick‑service eateries. A team of sales reps, chefs, consultants and other experts builds close relationships with each customer, providing advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection and operational strategies. The Performance Foodservice team delivers delicious food, but also goes above and beyond to help independent restaurant owners achieve their dreams.
Job Description Schedule:
Sunday–Thursday or Sunday–Thursday & Monday–Friday alternating weeks (Every 4 Weeks Work Sunday–Thursday). Sunday 10 AM–4 PM. Monday–Thursday 8 AM–4 PM. Weekly hours 32–40 upon hiring request.
Position Purpose Responsible for assisting all customers with order entries and any inquiries regarding the company. In addition, keep customers satisfied and happy with the company as their distributor and accommodate them as best possible. Solve customer problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization exists. Communicate and interact with customers, vendors and co‑workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Function as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Responsibilities
Input customer orders.
Input customer credits.
Input order and invoicing information accurately and in a timely manner.
Assist customers with orders and problems. Contact vendors and request samples for customers.
Provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public, customers, vendors, and co‑workers.
Perform administrative responsibilities such as mail on a daily basis, writing sample requests and special orders when necessary.
Attend training and Customer Service meetings.
Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs to include Excel, Word and Outlook.

Qualifications High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent. 6–12 months customer service, call center and/or related area.
Preferred Qualifications
1–2 years customer service, call center and/or related area within foodservice industry.
Experience with Microsoft Office programs to include Excel, Word, and Outlook.
