Position Summary:
The Key Account Manager will report directly to the Vice President of Sales for the Convenience, Food & Drug (CFD) Retail Segment. This person will be responsible for sales, profits and growth targets for Highline Warren’s expansive product catalog.
A key focus of this role will be managing the third largest buying group within the Convenience Channel, and the many distributors that buy from this group. This role will require significant travel and could be up to 75% during peak selling seasons.
Your goal will be to maximize our private brand focus, with brands such as Prime Guard and Mag 1 within your designated customer set. In addition, there will also be a focus on optimizing our market-leading licensed products, including Rain-X windshield wash, Mobil 1 oil, Lucas Engine Treatments, SprayAway glass cleaner and many more.
The ideal candidate will have had some experience and exposure to the Convenience Channel in their previous roles.
Be able to develop and build strong relationships with multiple customers and key buyers / category managers
Attend distributor selling shows across the US, in which you will represent Highline Warren and actively sell both branded and private branded show deals
Attend and represent Highline Warren within key industry events, expos and customer events
Troubleshoot any customer issues with proactive problem-solving measures in a timely manner
Identify opportunities to grow distribution within Convenience through Highline Warren’s owned and licensed brands
Seek opportunities to strengthen our focus on distributor programs and promotional events (ex: Seasonal promotions, volume drives, new item pushes, etc.)
Work closely with product management, marketing, and supply chain to develop and execute a collaborative business plan that delivers increased sales volume and profit
Drive new product launches and promotional campaigns, ensuring alignment with best practices and consumer trends
Analyze and track sales trends to identify areas of opportunity
Align with internal teams to identify new product opportunities that would grow our Convenience business
Establish and meet sales forecasts, goals and budgets
Maintain a current opportunity pipeline and follow-up on all inquiries and leads
Weekly reporting on sales results and new business opportunities
Exceed individual Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) as set by management
Other duties as assigned
Position requires travel up to 75% and location near a major airport is essential
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree Required
+2 years experience of Convenience sales account management experiencepreferred
Skills & Attributes
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of management, internal and with the customers
Adaptability in a fast paced and evolving team
A high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to analyze and interpret many sources of data to gain business insights
