The candidate for this role will report to the CRE Asset Management team and provide support in various portfolio management activities. The candidate must be able to effectively interact with multiple stakeholders independently including underwriters, originators, credit risk control, operations, legal / compliance, and the third-party servicer.
Key competencies and responsibilities include:
Assist with timely completion of portfolio management tasks and escalation to business unit senior management when appropriate Analyze borrower financial statements, rent rolls, guarantor strength, schedules of real estate owned, debt service coverage ratio, debt yield, and collateral valuations Prepare high quality loan analysis for presentation to 1st and 2nd lines of defense as applicable Perform detailed due diligence including market research, industry analysis, and sponsor review Assist with the maintenance and enhancement of asset management reporting used in day-to-day business unit management Provide working direction to the external third-party servicer and review related work products including loan level credit analysis prior to submission to business unit management and stakeholders Participate in special projects as necessary; prepare internal presentations as necessary for senior management on portfolio management strategy and analysis Must be able to independently and effectively communicate with Underwriters, Internal Counsel, and Loan Closers Assist in the ongoing asset management of a portfolio of commercial real estate loans to maximize value and minimize risk Assist with building and enhancing asset management reporting, portfolio analysis activities, and analyzing property financials Coordinate setup of loans internally and work closely with third party servicing team Maintain detailed and accurate loan files, relationship data, and loan tracking systems Skills/ Qualifications (e.g., years of experience, licenses, leadership skills):
Degree in Finance or closely related areas required Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in Wealth Management or Financial Services organization Experience working with a Bank's High Net Worth client base / Financial Advisor network a plus Excellent analytical and decision-making skills Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills Highly organized and detail-oriented Dedication to superior client service Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to navigate multiple divisions within a large bank structure Ability to effectively multi-task and deliver high quality results
