
The Loan Processor is responsible for managing residential mortgage files from application through clear-to-close, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely communication with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and third parties. This role is critical to maintaining fast turn times, clean files, and a high-quality borrower experience.
Skills
Process residential mortgage loans including
Conventional, FHA, VA, Non-QM, DSCR, Bank Statement, and ITIN
loans Review loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance Collect, review, and analyze income, assets, credit, and property documentation Submit complete loan files to underwriting and address all conditions promptly Communicate effectively with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, escrow, title, and insurance providers Order and track third-party services (appraisals, VOEs, VODs, title, escrow, etc.) Ensure all disclosures and documentation meet federal, state, and investor guidelines Maintain pipeline accuracy and meet closing timelines Update LOS (LendingPad or applicable system) with accurate and current information Identify and resolve issues that may delay underwriting approval or closing Experience
Minimum
2+ years of mortgage loan processing experience Strong knowledge of mortgage guidelines and documentation requirements Experience with
LOS systems
(LendingPad preferred) Familiarity with TRID, RESPA, and compliance requirements Ability to manage multiple files in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Bilingual (English/Spanish)
