About the role As Managing Director of Viessmann Werke Allendorf GmbH, you are responsible for the overall performance and strategic direction of the production company within the Group framework. You ensure operational excellence, stable financial performance, and sustainable development of the organization in close alignment with Group functions and governance. You lead the local management team and represent the production company toward internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Overall business responsibility for the production company within the Group governance framework.
Contribution to financial performance, budget planning, and target achievement in alignment with Group Finance.
Strategic and operational responsibility for manufacturing, quality, production planning, OpEx (Operational Excellence) and EHS.
Ensuring operational excellence with a strong focus on safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity and OPEX discipline.
Defining clear objectives, KPIs, and governance structures to drive performance and accountability across the site.
Leading, developing, and aligning the local leadership team in close cooperation with Group functions.
Steering and sponsoring major transformation, investment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, EHS, and corporate requirements at site level.
Acting as the primary interface to Group management, works council, customers, and relevant external stakeholders.
Ensuring high customer satisfaction and long-term operational sustainability of the site.
You are a senior manufacturing leader with strong operational and strategic capabilities. You are experienced in navigating complex Group structures and balancing local accountability with corporate governance.
Requirements
University degree in engineering, industrial engineering, business administration, or a comparable field.
At least 10 years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in metal processing or the heating industry.
Proven experience in a senior leadership role in operations or general management.
Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production planning, quality management, and OpEx control.
Experience working effectively with centralized Group functions (e.g. HR, Finance, Supply Chain).
Strong leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
High level of resilience and ability to operate in complex, matrix-driven environments.
Very good command of German and English, both written and spoken.
