In the limango IT you get the chance to contribute your own ideas and know‑how to maintain and develop our highly frequented, self‑built online shop for our markets in Germany, Austria, Poland and the Netherlands. As a Principal Engineer in the Post‑Purchase‑Experience Team (PPX), you will be instrumental in renewing and enhancing our customer service and post‑purchase processes.

Your primary focus will be on the renewal of the tech‑stack, which is currently in a transition phase from PHP monolithic applications to a modern cloud‑based micro‑service architecture, based on Golang with React/Next‑js frontend applications. You will work with a cutting‑edge technology stack, including cloud‑based solutions, service‑oriented architecture, and API or event‑driven communication. You will be part of an international team of developers and a dedicated Product Owner, and be working closely with the customer service team to create streamlined and efficient processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading engineer responsible for defining and implementing the architecture for various projects

Write, test, and maintain code for backend services in Golang and PHP

Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices

Work closely with product managers and other developers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications

Implement new features and enhancements for post‑purchase processes, focusing on improving the efficiency and data flow between different systems

Deploy applications in the AWS environment, utilizing Terraform and ArgoCD to ensure smooth operations within the Kubernetes cluster or Lambda environment

Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to backend development

You'll need: Professional requirements for the candidate:

High proficiency in Golang (minimum 3 years) and a solid understanding of clean code practices

Extensive knowledge of cloud‑based architecture, preferably with AWS

Strong experience with PHP (minimum 3 years)

Experience with asynchronous processing and messaging systems

Good knowledge of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)

Familiarity with Lambda, K8s, Gitlab, Terraform and ArgoCD is a plus

Personal requirement for the candidate:

Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues effectively

Fluent level of English (spoken and written) and good communication and collaboration skills to work with cross‑functional teams

Ability to drive projects forward and adapt to changing requirements
