Overview

The

Sales Representative

will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and expanding relationships and sales with institutional locksmiths; directors of facilities, security, and physical plant; and maintenance departments. This role emphasizes new business development, account growth, and revenue generation through strategic prospecting, consultative selling, and deep product knowledge. Duties and Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and grow relationships with institutional locksmiths and key decision-makers.

Prospect new clients while expanding share of wallet within existing accounts.

Conduct cold and warm outreach within an assigned territory to build and sustain a strong sales pipeline.

Identify target clients, influencers, and decision-makers; establish relationships to secure ongoing and new business.

Participate in quoting, bidding, and pricing of product solutions and services.

Respond to client inquiries and guide customers in selecting appropriate products.

Follow up on e-commerce–generated leads to support account expansion.

Attend industry events, association meetings, and conferences; provide market, customer, and competitor feedback.

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all products and solutions offered.

Ensure accurate data entry and account management within the Sage/CRM system.

Forecast sales targets and consistently meet or exceed goals.

Track account activity, manage opportunities, and close deals.

Ensure all prerequisites (contracts, prequalifications, vendor approvals) are completed in a timely manner.

Collaborate with vendors on quotes, lead generation, field support, and partnership development.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant industry experience preferred.

3–5 years of sales or marketing experience.

Experience in locksmithing, doors, frames, or related building trades strongly preferred.

Familiarity with regional and institutional markets is a plus.

Manufacturer-led door hardware training provided.

Additional Skills and Experience

Helpful Background: Building trades, facilities management, healthcare or education environments, government or GSA sales.

Core Skills: Relationship building, networking, communication, persuasion, prospecting, public speaking, research, writing, closing, sales motivation, planning, customer needs analysis, territory management, market awareness, and professionalism.

Technical Skills: Sage CRM, e-commerce platforms, Microsoft Office Suite.

Draw + Commission, estimated total compensation ranging from

$80,000–$120,000 , depending on experience. Hours:
