Associate Director, Business Development Posted 2026-01-13 We are seeking a CDMO business development professional to manage and grow existing client relationships and expand our biotech client base in the US East region. This role collaborates with Senior BD leadership and operations to develop strategies to meet regional sales targets and stays informed on competitors and market trends. Responsibilities

Grow the business in the responsible region by identifying and developing new biotech clients, expanding existing biotech clients’ business, and managing strategic accounts across WuXi Biologics value chain. Manage a portfolio of biotech accounts. Build strong internal relationships across functions and align with function/Subject Matter Experts for each account. Plan and execute selling, proposal development, and contract negotiation independently. Represent WuXi Biologics at trade shows and contribute to key commercial strategies across the Global BD team. Manage all business aspects of customer relationships and deliver exemplary customer service. Maintain timely updates in Salesforce.com and monitor KPIs. Interface with clients and travel 20-30% of the time. Qualifications

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree. MBA or PhD preferred but not required. Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years, or Master/PhD with at least 3 years of life science industry experience, preferably including 2 years of sales and territory management within the CMO/CRO space. Strong written and oral communication skills; strong gravitas and relationship-building abilities. Proven listening, empathy, and ability to work under pressure; track record of managing multiple opportunities and projects simultaneously. Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics. Organized and detail-oriented.
