We are seeking a Property Senior Associate Underwriter to support our property underwriting team. This role sits at an advanced developmental level and is a support-intensive role focused on the administrative execution, data integrity, and initial risk screening necessary to move applications through the pipeline, Responsibilities
Set up electronic files and enter preliminary data into the underwriting systems with high accuracy. Scrubbing/Cleansing Schedule of Values provided by the broker to ensure a high level of accuracy of the data entering the underwriting systems Assist in the preparation of quotes, binders, and formal policy documents. Process routine mid-term policy changes and endorsements that do not require complex risk reassessment. Support broker and client relationships through effective and timely communication. Participate in broker meetings, client presentations, and taking on increasing responsibility. Assist in monitoring portfolio performance, loss trends, and catastrophe accumulations. Ensure underwriting files, documentation, and systems comply with governance, audit, and regulatory standards. Work collaboratively with engineering, claims, accounting, legal, and operations teams. Mentor junior associate underwriters and support training and knowledge sharing within the team. Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, Economics, Business, or a related field. 3 years of experience in commercial or industrial property underwriting. Solid understanding of property insurance concepts, including CAT modeling. Proficiency with underwriting systems, pricing tools, and Microsoft Office. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven underwriting environment. Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range for this position is $75,000-$95,000 plus eligibility for a performance-based annual bonus. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors including experience, education, and location.
